It's a Willys Rover....a very rare model.
install swing pedal set up?
Yes it is a L.S. To bad a 44 unit would not fit in a d 30 frt diff.
The T86, bell, etc don't add any value. Frankly if they want more than $100 for the whole thing I'd pass. E brake assembly isn't hard to find
So the D-18 "most likely" is the correct type for a 1971 CJ-5? I'll buy the X-fer though all I want from it is the E-brake assembly. Right now...
OK guess this mess part two!!
This appears to be a 302 V-8 bell housing adapted to a T-86 to a D-18 Xfer.
This is all in a '71 CJ-5. Same one...
OK, Bronco used Power Locks from what I have been reading up on so maybe that is where the locker came from. I too thought it should be a trac lok.
Thanks for ID'ing it.
I just bought this D44 flanged off set rear end to stuff under my '47 2A and once home, I turned the yoke and...
Found this locker in a dana 44 rear flanged diff OUT of a '71 CJ5 and I'm not sure which type /brand it is. Any idea?
F head---wrong motor wonder if it has a trans and x-fer. Like to see more pics. Ferndale has a lot of moisture.
Would you mind posting pics and such of how you did this up grade? thanks.
Could it be a different thread? Not NPT?
Very nice!!!! Love the KB valve covers. Did you install the high pressure oil pump gears? You may need to run the short oil filter so that the...
with a d30 frt. diff, the rotor should not have the be drilled nor any mods to the hub. a win win for brakes, steering, and maintenance
Ford shop used the old fashion center post but the last place I worked at used an vintage walker 4 post cable hoist. DARN scary unit.
commando has a d-44 narrow track
Fantastic rock collector. Wonder how much mud it takes to jam things up.
D-30 narrow track frt. diff with Geo track disc brakes is a nice upgrade.
FF centered rear diff are nice-----weak point----locking hubs---- they...
car dolly, drive rear end on dolly, tie off centered steering wheel--loose---between spokes, unlock front hubs, head for home
Separate names with a comma.
