Not surprisingly, I lost the instructions that came with the heater. I looked at the instructions on Summit's website, but my switch differs from what they show -- my switch has 5 prongs on the back instead of the 4 shown. H,M,L (self-explanatory), B (battery or power in I assume) and C. What is C for, ground? There is a ground wire coming off the blower motor housing. Do I need C? Thanks!

Terminal 1- Yellow wire, low speed
Terminal 2- Red wire, medium speed
Terminal 3- Orange wire, high speed
Terminal +- Red Wire Power source

    Black Wire is just grounded

Hope this helps. I can try scanning the instructions if you need them.

Mark, thanks for the reply. I get the red, yellow and orange wires. And I understand to ground the black wire coming off the motor housing. But, referring to the bottom 2 prongs on the switch, the left one is marked "B" and the right one is marked "C"...should I connect the power source to "B"? What about "C"? Here is a photo of the back of my switch:

    Thanks again...

Mark, a switch like this only directs the path of current. Its coming to the switch per se, via the red power wire. It will leave via one of the switch locations, which are terminal 1 through 3. In your case, I believe you do not need the fifth terminal.

NP, I happen to have two laying around haha. The first heater they shipped me was busted when it arrived, so they sent me another one

I hope the switch with the extra terminal is more stout than the one they shipped with my heater. It fell apart in my hands. I wired mine up to the original heater switch. But with this I only have two speeds.
