Found some pics here through a Google search: http://www.jeep-cj.com/forums/f7/72-75-cj5-seat-bracket-build-9324/

There's really not much to it, the seat back is hinged and folds forward and there is a very simple hook latch that holds the seat bottom to the floor via an eye bolt. Flip the seat back forward, unhook the seat bottom and fold the whole thing forward.

The seats are the rugged ridge offerings. Cheap, yet functional. They're made to fit the 76+ mounts, I believe, as the holes dont line up.

    Here ya go, ROXJ

Is that strap steel you used as a way of mounting the seats to the existing frames, since the holes didn't line up?

That's what I did on mine so I could mount my mastercraft rubicon rs seats. I can post pics if you want.

That would be great. I didn't mean to hijack the thread either but the pictures will be a good reference for a future seat installation. Right now I just have the bestop covers covering the original ripped vinyl. Thanks.

Yes, the straps have two holes with a nut tack welded on the other side for the bolts to thread onto. Acts like a long nut plate. Used the existing holes in the 74 frame and transfered through to the new seat frame.

I am looking at the reference.... I did not realize that the "I bolt" I found in the floor had a function... I see not that it was there to hook the passenger seat in place.... I hope that I can find that and put it back in.... when I get that far.... LOL
