Has anybody here ever messed with putting a Howell efi on the 225 v-6? Any kind of feed back would be appreciated. Thanks, tw

AFAIK it won't work. The Howell stuff is based on the GM ECU, which expects an even-fire engine. Plus Howell targets their products at specific applications, which do not include the 225.

Look into Megasquirt - it can handle an odd-fire engine.

Thanks for the info. I sent an e-mail to Howell asking them about a 225 setup. They said they have one, that was their responce. No p/n, no nothing, just they have one. Thanks again. tw

I kinda think they gave you a pat answer that's wrong. If they knew it's an odd-fire engine, you might get a different answer.

Write to them and ask them how they handle the odd-fire issue with the 225.

I have talked to them in the past, and they are aware of the OF issue. I know they were 'talking about getting one done' in a test setup a few years back. I have never seen one, and I went with the Powerjection III setup.

FYI: Heard back from Howell today. Yes they have a unit fior both Dauntless engines, 225 & 231. Said it was close to the same as the 258 set up, price was $1300/1360. Not bad, if you say it real fast.
