Just got a 46 and had a couple questions

    1. There is no tank location just one sitting in bed (no cut out in side for factory style tank) why is this? Is it a aftermarket tub?

    2. Can I get the filler cut out?

    3. Any body have info on re hooking up drum e brake

    4. More to follow

You might not have a cj body it could be mb or gpw, or someone just filled in the fill hole.

If it's really a CJ and you want the hole in the tub for the filler, the filler surround is available from the Jeep specialty sellers listed in the sticky thread at the top of the forum.

Question 3 is a little vague. What do you have now? There should be pictures in the FSM.

If it does have the rear wheel well tool boxes, it will very likely be an MB or GPW body which should have the cutout for the extended fuel tank bottom below the driver's seat. If it does have the tool boxes, if the tops are ribbed, it is a GPW.

If it is an aftermarket body, I would put a rear tank in it and forget about installing the fire bomb under the seat.

Emergency brake: I think the 2A should be the same as the 3A/3B-if not someone on here will tell you.

MB/GPW had the fuel filler under the drivers seat, not in the side of the body.

Along the lines of a non Cj it doesn't have a glove box cut out or speedo. But also has double shocks in rear and heavy leaf pack ( told it held a 50 cal) anybody have pics of a under seat fill tank not using cut out? Or the rear tank assembly to eliminate under seat.

    Thanks

Check Mike Boyink's site for pictures of the rear tank: http://boyink.com/cj6/gas-tank-installing-rear/

No picture, but IIRC the driver's seat tilts forward and there's a fill cap in the center of the tank. Also check the rear wheel houses for a flip-up tool box lid. The MB/GPW has a 9-slat grille, and a solid back panel (unlike the CJ).
