So, today, my dad and I went up to this junkyard to get this new relic. It cost me $100. :) The engine does turn over and it supposedly runs. the tranny and tcase all shift nicely. The front springs are shot along with the body. I have decent set I could slap in it. The tires hold air surprisingly. The wiring is a mess. I will have to do some work to that. It has a brand spanken new exhaust system on it too. Somehow, the muffler is exploded though. I have no idea how that happened. I think I'm going to drive it around for a while as is. I've always wanted an original jeep that runs good and has the ratty look to it. I need to think of a good name for this one... :?

How do you like the horns? That is my favorite part of this thing. :D

I also scored a CJ aluminum wheel. Needs a little TLC. I'll probably resell this. I figure someone might be looking for a matching spare, so I saved it! :)

The scary thing is, I planned it to be just big enough to fit a jeep on it. Don't know if I wanna try it though...

Yep, I can see where mater comes into it. The reason why the strap is across the hood is to keep it from blowing away. R)

Yep! And it is going to stay that way. Aaah! That's what I should name her, Patina!

Can a moderator please move this to the builds forum? I have some more progress I want to add since it has turned into a project.

    Thanks!

The latest developments for toady. I got her running. After some carb tuning, it doesn't run half bad. It barely moves under its own power in 1st low, so I think the clutch needs some adjusting. It has no freeplay. I hoping that is the only problem. The engine has wicked good vacuum. Is tries to suck my hand in when I put it over the carb. :D Tomorrow, I'll do a compression test and start working on removing the plow frame. I also found out the horns work, and they are very, very loud.

    Has good oil pressure. :)

    The engine:

    The interior:
I have a driver's and passenger's seat for it and the old gas tank from my 3A. I'll be good to go!

    Bye-bye plow.

Here it is without the plow:

    And it moves!

And an exploded muffler. Still confused by that!

And the best thing of all. I found an old CT registration tucked in the ws frame. I've always dreamed of finding something like that in an old junky jeep. I hereby present CJ2A #87326.

Hey looks as good if not better than mine. Love those half cabs. I have a couple of extras to put Jeeps under.

By the way a good sized backfire will blow a muffler.
