It's me again asking the same question but this time with more information. It sounds like I need a 3 piece power steering bracket as apposed to the 2 piece that I currently have. So where in the world do I find one of these when I call the junk yards in my area and ask for a late 60's or early 70's Buick they all but laugh at me. They always want to know exactly what make and model so they can do a search.

If you have any idea please let me know.

    Thanks.

I believe mine came off of a late 60s Buick skylark with a 350. I don't recall your other post, so what's wrong with the 2 piece that you have?

Thank you that helps. My 2 piece sits to low to use Herms Ford reverese setup.

That is proving to be VERY hard to find even harder then the 2 piece, which I eventually found, that sits to low.

Thanks for the picture of the 2 piece, which is exactly what I have, I thought I was golden until I went to install it above my new gear box bracket from Herm which mounts behind the front crossmember. It sits the pump way to low to get to the gear box and install hoses. I've been told that the even harder to find 3 piece sits higher on the engine and will provide enough clearance? I would be happy to swap someone if they happen to have a 3 piece?

Yes - those are the parts which I think should work. I think I found the same pictures when I was looking for my rig. That arrow is pointing to a missing bolt.

That set-up will work. It's the one I'm using.

I think I'm getting closer I found a guy who wants to much, probably because he knows I'm desperate, for the below setup. It sure looks like a match to what David suggested I looked for and his picture. I want to pull the trigger but I hoped someone could take a quick look and make sure that it appears to be the same.

That should be the one you need. How much is too much? Those are getting real hard to come by so $100 isn't really out of line just for an example. I think that's what I got out of the last one I had.

Yes, if that includes the pump with the single pulley, I'd buy it. The single pulley makes for a cleaner installation in our CJs.
Also, the return line exits in an upwardly direction. This arrangement will facilitate your close proximity to the steering box much better than if it was turned down.

Heck if someone would let me borrow one of those for a day or so I could make a pattern and make them.
When I pull my body in a few more weeks I may try to make a pattern to make a pump bracket to be used with any GM pump.

If you have time you could shop e-bay. I don't see any now but I picked up the bracket for $40 plus shipping this summer.

If you want to get rid of the 2 piece let me know. It will work with my front box and I have been looking a while too. Trouble is up here in NY they salt the roads so bad nothing survives very long and you can't find any old stuff in the upulls.

McGruff I wish I could send it to you fabricate but this steering project is holding up my whole build. I would be happy to sell it send me a PM and I will get you a picture. Sounds like I should be happy to find it and pull the trigger man this has made this part of the project very difficult.

Thanks to all for the help.
