Wondering if someone that has one of these could take a couple measurements for me. I'm considering using one of these for a swap and can't put my hands on one to see if it will fit. I need to know the overall length, bellhousing surface to fan mounting surface. And height, crank centerline to top of carb. Thanks for any help. Rick

first thing I ask what are you putting it in out of curiosity

ok now to answer your question

across left to right 12 1/2 inches

front to back 18 1/2 inches

height from top of head to bottom motor no tin is 13 1/12 inches

top to bottom with tin 18 3/4 inches

take in account these are rough measurements but close

I replaced the 151 in my CJ several years ago,, right now it's burried under other old parts in the pile,,but if I remember the length from the trans mounting surface of the bellhousingmto the fan mounting surface is like 32 or 33 inches, I believe the bellhousing is around 9 or 10 inches deep .

The crank center to top of carb is around 18 to 20 inches Hope this helps.

PS: If you need parts for the 151 let me know, I have a low-mileage head, a 6 cyl radiator modified for use with the 4-cylinder and a headder that needs some repair,,just to name a few.

Thanks, I appreciate it. I figured it was in that range. I need to pin it down exactly, a couple inches either way is going to make or break this project, I don't have much room to work with. Anyone got one they can get to with a tape?

I'll see if I can dig it out from the other parts in the pile for exact measurements for ya sometime this week.

What are you installing this into? It had MAJOR room in my CJ.

I'd appreciate it. Looking at stuffing it into a Mighty-mite, makes a flatfender engine bay look cavernous. Thanks, Rick
