So lately I have been helping my friend beef up his 96 two door 5 speed XJ.

When he got it the jeep sat on some 31s and was lifted around 6 inches. The rear 35 was welded and the front has a lunchbox locker. He got a new set of 33x12.5-15 Cooper STTs and we wheeled it for a while.

Then we picked up a disk brake 8.8 with 4.10s, it was an open rear end so out came the stick welder to lock it. He got a set of BDS 5.5 springs to put under the rear since the old springs were bent and had 3 inch blocks. I put a SYE in the transfer case, then the front axle got sent out for a regear to 4.10s.

I was planning on using a XJ front shaft in the rear, but it was a few inches to short. But my friend gas us a rear early bronco shaft to use, it has the same u joints and is the perfect length. All it needs to get back to wheeling condition is the rear end finished up and the front bolted back in when it comes back.

    Here are some pics

It did awesome at Rausch Creek, followed my buddies bronco on 38.5s with no problem.
