This wasn't completly a barn find but close. The original engine is still in the barn but the Jeep was sitting next to the grainery. I'll get pics up later today when it gets above freezing.

It is a light blue early 1960s still had the original seats. Looking at the license plates it was last registered in 1993.

For up here it is real clean. The salt they use on the roads eats older cars like they are made out of ice.

Needs an engine:( But I think my :v6: will have a new home!

Any advice on the V6 into the F-head engine compartment would be greatly appricated!

Motor mounts, exhaust, adapter to transmission, etc. Really not too tough but not a bolt in. You will need the longer input shaft for the transmission to adapt your V-6 and the adapter as well.

I posted some pics in this forum somewhere of my v6 swap into my 62 CJ5. I made my own mounts, but used the T90 and Dana18 with the longer input shaft and adapter. It is tight against the firewall on one valve cover, but overall very happy with the fit. No trimming or cutting.

I'd find a link to it, but I have to head out the door right now. If you can't find it let me know and i'll look for it when I get home later.

Looks good ! I thought the frames didnt get the extra support up front inside the channeling until 1966 when the :v6: was introduced. Unless this is a 66 or up 4 cly cj ?

This one is titled as a 1964 also, but that doesn't mean much. Wish I could keep both of them I have but only one can stay and the 1966 body is off and intermediate/rusted bad an and the frame has been welded back together many times over the years. So the V6 swap starts to night!

I want to make it look as factory as possible. Lots of questions on how other have done it but those will be in another thread.

    Thanks Lenard
