Has anyone here used the black dimond or the 4wd hardware lift kit or have any experiences with them?

Let me add that my CJ is quite heavy with a front winch and heavy fiberglass tub.
    Thanks
    Andrew

The Black Diamond springs are soft and flexy.
I recently put the Black Diamond 3" lift springs on my CJ7 and found that the rear springs were too soft for my Jeep and sagged more than the springs that I was replacing. I kept the fronts and used 3.5" Superlift "Heavy Duty" (YJ) springs in the rear.
The Black Diamond springs are soft and flexy.

4WD kits used to be rebranded BDS and were highly regarded. not sure who mkes them now or whethter they are as good, but definitely not BDS. I think my 4WD kit is BDS but not certain. Seems fine to me but I dont have much to compare to. The rear u-joints were not for a D44 but they sent me the right bolts later.

Don't confuse Black Diamond Suspension with BDS, which are two separate companies with the same initials. BDS started as "Big D*cks Suspension" but have lately just gone by the acronym BDS since becoming more popular and apparently realizing the salaciousness of their name wasn't good for business.

I have 3" Black Diamond springs on my CJ5 and am very happy with them. They netted just over 3.25" of lift and haven't settled yet.

My Dad has 3" Black Diamond (not BDS) springs on his '67 and likes them very much.

I have them(Black Diamond) on Pete. At first they were very stiff, real kidney punchers. They are about 2 years old now and have softened nicely. Just drove from Clarkston, WA to home here in Ada, OK (~1700 mi) and found them a very comfortable ride. They flex much better than the originals too.:v6:

I have had the Black Diamond lift since 2006. Been happy with it overall. Does take some time to settle, but seems fine to me. I ran the Pennswoods Jeep Jamboree this last summer, and flex was ideal for rocks, stumps, and water crossings/ditches. Paired with the shocks, in the kit, I have been pleased.
