dodge 3.9

    I am currently tearing down a 3.9 dodge 6 to put in my 56. Anybody have a good parts source? The engine looks pretty good, except for the huge amount of sludge that was in it. Looks like it will need gaskets and bearings.

    What parts, engine rebuild? Your FLAPS should e able to get just about anything you'd need for a rebuild.

    Just curious, how are you planning to match that engine up to the drivetrain?

    Since its basically a 318 - 2 cylinders, parts are cheap and easy to find!!

    Stock, any parts store should be able to help. High Perf, Mopar has some go fast goodies in the majic Mopar book. :)

    I am using the 3.9, an ax-15 5 speed out of a dodge dakota. That will adapt to the stock transfer case. This set up is too long for the cj-5 , so I stretched it to a 6.
