Looks like a steering upgrade of some sorts as well. Does have a PTO and next you will say it has an overdrive too.

I see the potential. If it's what you really want, grab it. When are you heading back home and will you be near York? Like Lynn, I'm oly 50 miles from Balt.

There is no logical reason to have several JEEPs at the same time. One can only drive them one at a time. Now if you have that much money to spend on another one. Imagine how many other goodies you could get for your present JEEP!

What is the address that the JEEP is located at ?

The reason I would grab this is that My dad was born in 55' and I want to hand him the keys to a restored 55 on his 55th.

I have said it before I will say it again.

You are asking a bunch of crack addicts if you should buy more crack?

well, I am heading up to take a look this week, if it is what he says it is, then I am gonna try and grab it. How wide tire to tire is a 55' anyone know off the top of their heads? According to him, the rust in the pictures is all surface, nothing goes through anywhere on the body

It won't have an overdrive. I've got a '55 with three sticks. One is to the three speed, the second is 2/4 WD, and he third is HI/LO.

The fourth will be the PTO.

I've got a '55 in the back yard. Which measurement do you want? Outside of the fenders? The PO put wide tires on mine so the outside of the tires might not be the same.

Getting ready to crash. I've got an early flight tomorrow. It looks like 60 inches across the fenders. The tires on mine (not original) stick out another inch or two on each side. If your trailer is wider than 66" you should be fine.

I had a link that had a diagram with measurements but can't seem to find it now. If I find it I'll post it.

Its gotta be a 55... has the 55 only speedo. I agree on the overdrive, its not there. trans, hi/lo , 4x4, & pto....

Is it home yet? There are buzzards circling the area there, you should have already had it home and torn down by now...
