Factory T98a transmission cover for CJ5 with F-134 engine.

    Overall:
    20-1/4" front to rear
    10-1/2" side to side

    Flat top portion of cover:
    4-1/2" across at front
    5-3/4" across at widest point
    5" across at rear

    Shift boot cutout:
9-1/4" on center from front edge of cover
4" on center from pass side edge of cover
    Cutout is 4" in diameter
Holes for the boot are a 4 on 4-3/4" pattern

Positioned as it sits in JEEP:
3-1/2" tall, driver side of shift cutout, from a postion perpendicular to bottom edge of floor pan up to inside bottom of shift boot
2-1/4" tall, pass side of shift cutout, from a position perpendicular to bottom edge of floor pan up to inside bottom of shift boot

Portion that extends down toward driver side is approximately 5" from top of cover. It is really hard to see in the pics, but it extends down about 3" at one angle, then makes a slightly sharper angle the other 2". Floor pan had a matched area there that allowed for the bulge in the side of the T98 to clearance.

I assume that's a factory unit.. Looks a fair amount taller than my modified pan to clear the T18...But, mine is mighty close to the top of the trans.

Yessir, it is. Had a couple people asking me for pics, posted them here for posterity. Maybe Gallery would be better?

Here and there;) Very good pics. I'd bet there aren't many of those pans around...

Do you happen to have pictures and dimensions of the T98 crossmember set-up?

I'd guess those coversl and the '71-75 T-18 covers are the same. It would not be like Jeep to not use what they had. I recall there were sheet metal screws into the floor on the driver's side. Was the floor underneath the cover cut away?
