Hey Guys, Ive been watching this site for a few years now ,its been interesting reading and seeing others progress, problems and issues while they bring back the old jeeps ,its great to see a group get together and share info and help one another make it happen. this project has been in the works for a couple of years .my grandfather bought it new in 1960 ,it got towed to the mountian twice a year hunting, the day I was legal to drive in 75' he signed it to me, Drove it through Highschool And off and on for the next few years then parked it for the next 20. A few years ago I got a wild hair, drug it out of the field and went to work totally tore it down sand blasted everything rebuilt all drive train put Dana 30w/discs and 11"drums on rear put in overhead peddals and saginaw steering, rebuilt 225 v6 pulled every trick on it, GREAT ENGINE Finally got it done ,drives unbelivable ,I guess when your a kid you dont know any better Thanks to you all for the info offered here
    Keep it up thanks Dale

Looks Cool Nice Job thats a lot of work!!!! I see you have the long headers from advance adapters. I have the same ones what type of mufflers did you use there not much space after the header and I am ready to buy some for mine. If you had a part number and the offsets that would be cool and did you turn them out or leave them stright back. I am having a hard time finding one that will fit in the 19 " of space left and turn out.

the mufflers are a merrimont turbo , not sure P/N they are 14" body w/duoble offset 2" in and out
I had the tail pipes custom bent (old freind who went the extra mile for great fit) all the way to the back and turn out just in front of the rear bumper

Great looking CJ!! Any chance you've got some underside pics of the exhaust routing? Looks like a very clean install.

It started out as Imron single stage Brown. After a few refreshments(maybe a few to many) a pinch of this and a pinch
of that ,this is what I ended up with. Hope I dont have to match it, the mixing process could be hard to duplicate

holy crap thats a tight fit outside the frame but he did a great job for you!... that would never work for me, im running Mickey Thompsons that are 32x14.50!! i have only a few inches of clearance to the frame with these "steam rollers"

Its close but not as close as the pics look ,Ive got 33x12.5's and there's 3- 3 1/2 " clearance at the tightest spot
the shocks have about 1" Its tight but I think it beats going under the frame
