What color is my jeep

    I have included shortcuts to different areas on my jeep, it was built in late 69 and registered as a 70 hopefully some one can tell me what color the orginal paint was.

    I'm going to say it's praire gold but could be spring green. If you go to autocolorlibrary.com you can make the determination yourself. The 69 jeep color chart with paint code numbers are all there.

    Prairie gold seems more likely than spring green does to me.

    KCJEEP's Jeep is spring green. It seems much lighter and less gold than Todd's does.

    Tough call...on some of the photos it looks like Spring Green and on others, more Prairie Gold like. My Jeep was garaged it's entire life (still is) so there is virtually no fade. One thought...look in the battery tray for the Paint/Trim tag. That is where I found mine hiding under some dirt and debris. It had become dislodged from it's original location right under the Kaiser Jeep Corporation tag. My color code is 433 Spring Green. It does appear that the body has been repainted at one time due to the over spray on the step. My step is black. Good look"n Jeep! Thanks for the photos! KCJ

    thanks guys, I cant find the paint trim tag. I just wish I could figure out exactly what color it is.:v6:
    I have looked at the autocolorlibrary and that adds as much confusion as anything, is it champange gold poly, spring green, avocado mist

    Take a little polishing compound to the cowl ... I expect if you polish away some of the sun faded paint, it will look greener, maybe even avocado mist greener.

    thats what color mine is under the cowl. i always called it avocado mist.bob
