:iagree: It's hard to get all the paint out from the inside, and it's fast.

Could we have a littlr information on the blast? What media and grit was used ? Is the surface pitted any by the blast other than where rust had been fairly deep?
Some guys say the blast makes the surface pitted and leaves a lot of embedded sand. I'm curious about the results you got as far as end result.

Well It was glass bead blasted first to remove the paint and it was moved into the Silicon Carbide booth to remove the rust. The only pits I can see at this point are at the points of where there was metal to metal contact thats where the rust was heaver and there are pit from the rust not the blasting. The cost was $400 to have it done. I will let you know more this week end as I will be painting it with a two part primer to seal it.:v6:

I used the black sand, I think it was Clean Blast 75. And I really didn't care if the surface was pitted. Because the high build primer sealer filled the pits really well.

Into the Home Built Paint Booth. Here is some pic of this weekend. I did some painting with White PLC polyprimer. Cleaned up shop and built a paint booth added some filter put in a fan and and stared to shoot. It will take about 1 1/2 gals to prime. I was a little short but I will finish up next weekend. I am going to start the color coat next weekend also I am going with PPG Viper Yellow two stage system after the base color goes on you 24 hr to shoot the clear coat.
