I got all my wires chased for the rear lights and turn signals. My issue now is the flash bulb. I am gonig to repalce it. Right now my setup is I am only running the tail lights, no front turn or parking lights. So with this setup my flasher is really really slow and it is heating up good. I would like to know fi there is a differnt flashbulb to work better with a two light setup? Also i am using a 3 rong flashrelay, if i just do not hookup the pilot "P" terminal (which goes to the bulb in the assembly, can i just use a 2 prong flashbulb?

What type of turn signal kit are you using?

It is a chieftain. I have to get the switch to ground. I do not have my pilot lamp working. That may fix the thing.. Still ahve to get a new flasher this one is beat.

Isn't there usually a flasher relay for the turn signals and another for the e flashers?

Not for this unit, it uses a single flash bulb, there are differnt types that use the 2 bulb setup.

I'm gonna follow this thread closely because I have a good working self cancelling Spartan and want one that has buildt in flashers. They just seem to be cleaner installed, less to go wrong.

WEll i got it all working, but the flash is slow. It works fine but just slower than what i am used to. Oh well, not like i need signals in hyper drive :)

The more resistance in the circuit (ie fewer bulbs), the slower it flashes. I'd guess you are flashing too few bulbs. Maybe an electronic flasher would work better?

(Don't know of a source - maybe someone here does).

In parallel. But yes, a resistor might do it.

Measure the current through the turn signal circuit and figure the resistance of the bulbs. Then put maybe that much resistance in parallel to double the current.
