    You shouldn't need it if everything in the frontend is OK.

    Chicken soup. Might not help, but couldn't hurt.

    I know that D30s in Intermediates will shake even in most excellent factory-new condition, and the factory solution was a steering damper. Pretty sure all the Jeeps came from the factory with one after 1976 or so.

    Are you talking about a vibration damper (more commonly known as a rag joint) on the steering shaft... or a damper on the front axle?

    If you're talking about a rag joint, it's not necessary.

    Yeah, either/or. Probably won't use a rag joint. Was opting for the ujoint/vibration dampener combo that Borgeson makes but since it's twice the price of a regular ujoint and you all say I don't need it, it's out. Thanks guys.:v6:
