    hello,
i want to add a remote brake fluid reservoir to the firewall.can i use the standar rubber fuel tube?will the fluids corrode the tube?
i think that is the same material with the other brake hoses.

no can't use fuel line you must use rubber trans line it is $$$$ but won't react with the brake fluid like fuel hose will

He's using it as a filler tube not an actual brake line.

I know it's only a feed hose but the fuel hose will react with the break fluid

Approx 13 years ago I put a reservoir up on the firewall for my mastercylinder. It is a simple clear Rubbermaid bottle with a screw on top. I drilled a hole into the bottom and put a barbed fitting in it with black Permatex. I attached standard black fuel line to it and ran it to a barbed fitting I screwed into the top of the original brass cap on the mastercylinder. This has lasted without any leaks all this time. The brake fluid needs to be flushed once a year due to moisture getting into the system because the cap is not air tight. I went this route because I like seeing how much fluid I have. Aftermarket reservoirs are not see thru. I do wonder about the possibility of using a fluid catch can like race cars use. I don't know if they are sealed or not but they have a nice fitting conveniently placed on bottom and some have a sight tube.
