    Hello all,
I got a new new jeep!!! It is an old hill climb jeep. Here is what I know about it. 1960 willys cj5
It has a saginaw steering set up. Not sure what the axels are yet. The old gentaman I bought it from said they came out of some 4x4 place in cali. We live in Kansas. The engine is a 65 ford 289 v8 installed w\ advanced adapters stuff. not sure what the tranny and transfer are yet either. transfer case has 2 sticks. Also has a warn overdrive. The brakes are 11 inchers. Not sure waht they are from either. I will post more pics of the chassis w/ out the body tommorow. Maybe you guys know what exactly I have. I also got a set of new selectro hub locks for the rear axel. I am very excited. This is one cool jeep.

Sounds like a D18 transfercase for sure, twin sticked and with an OD, that's a nice add on.
    Can't wait for some pics!

Still have not figured out the pics. havent realy had time been working on the jeep.
Lots of problems!!! Yesterday I drained almost 5 gallons of water out of the engine.(out the oil drain. needless to say my 289 is junk! Tranny (t 90 was the same story). ffor some reason the transfer case and overdrive were pretty dry. This sucks. Is there a 4 speed that will replace the t90?

Did you pull the T90 top off and the heads off of the 289? If you didn't, go for it. It may be not all that bad.
The T18? is a replacement 4 speed, IIRC

inside of the engine looks like its been sitting in the ocean for about 100 years. I located and picked up a t90 and a t18 transfer case. So now Im looking for a 289 or 302. The last couple of days I have been stripping the paint off the tub.The shhet metal is real solid. Ive got one spot of rust under the drivers seat/door to fix. other than that just 48 years of small dents. No big deal. Im about 3/4 of the way done. the chassis is all apart Ive ordered por 15 to paint everything on the underside. I'll get this pic thing figured out soon.
