I'm not sure much aftermarket support there is for the IH D300. Haven't had much luck finding a lot of stuff. I'm leaning on keeping the T-4 until it explodes, which probably won't be long, and then replacing it later on. I know I'm going to be tight on space, but with as much sheetmetal repair as the tub needs, cutting the firewall a little won't matter. I'm also going to be running a DJ grille so hopefully that will help out some too.

Well I lost the tranny I was watching on Ebay. I did get an 8 circuit wiring harness for $70. Right now I'm looking for a 4-barrel intake and 4-barrel carb for the 258 that I will be using.

Damien, the guy that went into business with me, drew up a buggy style setup that we are going to try on this buildup. If it works out like we think it's going to, I'm going to have over 30"s of wheel travel.

Progress update from the last few days:

I got the CJ-7 body mounts cut off the frame and the frame smoothed out in those areas. Cut out the rear crossmember (where the front of the OEM tank mounted) and replaced it with a tubular one. I got the front bumper/frame ends cut off flush with the OEM crossmember that the steering gearbox hangs from. I ground everything smooth and welded on 2"x4" tubing to act as a front bumper and a place to mount the front shackle reversal. I designed and cut out the new main eye hangers for the front shackle reversal and got them tacked into place. Still need to figure out a good/strong way to outboard the shackle ends of the front springs.

Got the new tranny crossmember built and bolted into place. I ditched the OEM style rubber mount that bolted to the bottom of the tranny, then to the skid and finally to the frame. The crossmember I built hard mounts to the bottom of the tranny and it has rubber Rubicon Express superride joints at the frame ends. The bottom of my tranny is now higher than the bottom of the frame rail.

Bent and welded in a tubular crossmember side to side between the rear leaf main eyes. I did that in preparation of cutting the frame in half to shorten it. I had these terrible visions of the frame either splaying or collapsing on me if I didn't.

I got a 4-barrel Holley on Ebay for $200 with a warranty, so the hunt for an Offy intake is ongoing.
I scored (12) LED toggle switches on Ebay for $9, so I'm designing my new switch panel.
I also have a DJ grill on the way, so that will help with the underhood room.

I'll snap some new pics in the morning when I get back to the shop.

Well, it's been a few months since I last posted. Thing have been pretty crazy. We were remodeling the shop, then the holidays hit, and then we had to try to get re-organized.

Anyways, some thing have changed with the build and some things have not.
    - Switched to full width Chevy axles instead of Ford 9s. I got a screaming deal on the set of Chevy axles and they already 4.10s in them.
    - Kept the stock intake, but put a Holley 4-barrel on it for now. It's only temporary since I am leaning towards converting the engine to propane.
    - Got the Early CJ tub on the CJ7 frame. Going to start bracing the tub to cut and stretch
    - Mounted my 37s I had laying around to at least get the frame level to measurement sake.

Here is a pic that is more recent:

Could you post a close up photo of the parking light assembly? My originals were removed so i would like to see what I need. Also, what's the serial number on your F-134? Thanks.

The grille in the pic is from a DJ and there aren't any parking lights in it. I will take some pics of the original '62 grille that I took off though.

The 134 I have is from the '46 chassis that I am selling. I will get the numbers for you tomorrow. I have a listing in the classified section for the entire rolling chassis if you are interested.
