I have a 70 Jeepster with an auto tranny that I just picked up cheap, now I know why.

Along with the busted motor mount, the tranny mount has been cobbled together.

The brace from frame rail to frame rail looks like it has a rubber mount with two bolts that should go into the tranny, my tranny has two jagged edges which I think were some sort of bolt holes? One thing for sure, something was busted off here!

Can anyone tell me what this set up should look like? Also, there were three pieces of plate metal spacers on each side of the tranny brace, based on the uniform size and shape they appear to be factory? But as I am finding on this jeep the previous owner was very creative and cheap on the repairs!

Thanks in advance for any advice

Those plate metal spacers were stock. Sounds like the mounting ears on your transfer case adapter broke. I know Novak makes an awesome replacement, but you can fix your old one with some angle iron, bolts, and a little creativity.
