Apparently I never took any pics of it and I can't remember how the cable mounts to the x-member. Any pics would be appreciated.:v6:

Here's a scan from my M38A1 Operation and Organiztional Maintenance manual (TM 9-8014) that shows the assembly diagram assembly instructions. I think this is similar to 50's era CJ5s. Don't know how much changed for your year.

From the signon I believe you are looking for picks of the V6 setup?
I have a 4 banger and am not sure the setup is the same. I thought that the parking brake went from the Xfer case to the rearend brakes when the brakes got larger for the V6. If not, for the Dana 18 ; the cable has a clamp that grabs the sheath at the point where the inner wire rope exits. This clamp is a small thing. it is C shaped and has 1 hole in it and a tang. The tang fits in a hole in the trany support cross member and the bolt fits through the c shaped clamp and through another hole in the cross member. The holes are visable from underneath if you are about even with the back of the parking brake drum, and aligned with the drivers frame rail looking up and forward at the upper metal plate of the xmember.
Not at home now so I can't shoot a pic.
Might be a good shot for the foto album under tech?

It'd be in the gallery not in the tech section and I just checked the picture bank, currently the e-brake gallery is there but empty.

Sorry Rocky. My Jeep won't do you much good, it's not connected to anything.

Here you go but it won't help, I still need to fab a bracket to hold it. The tab on my crossmember just doesn't seem to be in the right place. I have a swapped in T18 maybe that is why. My Jeep was basturdized before I had it, no park brake whatsoever when I got it, so no help there.

The attached photo on the previous post is close to what my set up was till I pulled it out cuz the cable was broken and bound up at the handle. Mine actually can off the crossmember a little bit so it was easy to get to with the body tub still on.

This is not a hijack - I don't think. I have been messin' with the same problem. My challenge is how to get the parking brake cable over the crossmember and keep it well away from the exhaust. How is it routed in that area?
