Does anyone has pictures of the heating of a cj5 1969? I like to build one and dont know if I can use the core of a later model. So I like to know how it works. I am talking about the blackbox under the hood.

    Thanks in advance

Army surplus warehouse has a self-contained setup for $69. That's gonna' be my plan.

You can also get an aftermarket self contained unit from JC Whitney, Summit, etc. for less than $150.

    Juffer -

Are you looking for options on getting heat, or wanting to rebuild/restore the heater that's in the Jeep?

If your looking for heat, I highly reccommend the mojave heaters at summit. I don't even need a top to stay warm. Also, I put mine on high to clean all the leaves out of my jeep ;).

Thanks a lot for the pictures. It is very difficult to find something here in Europe. I saw the aftermarket parts. But i want to build as original as possible. Is the heater mounted under the box?

here are a couple of pictures of the heater. the first is of the air intake which houses the heater core, you can see the two hoses interring the box on the left. the second one shows the blower motor and left side of the heater, the third shows the right side. hope this helps.
