i have a 62 cj5 that i am slowly restoring. it has three different rims on it and no spare.. so i would like to get a set of uniform, stock looking rims..

i found a source for M151 rims cheap, will these work correctly? also i have a set of LT235/75r15'' BFGoodrich All Terrain TA/KOs can these be mounted on the 151 rims?

if this cant work what other vehicles should i seek at a junkyard????

Offset is wrong also. It will make your wheel base to narrow. And, to narrow for those KO tires. Doug

I've had a set of old Ford rims on an ECJ before...the centers were hogged out to clear the hubs, but they worked just fine. Whoever modified them did a pretty decent job...I didn't even notice they weren't Jeep rims until I took them off :)oops: ). If you're careful with a torch, you could probably just cut them and use a die grinder or somthing to clean them up.

Please reconsider using Ford rims that have been altered. I've seen several in the last thirty some years that were cracking in the center due to the reinforcement being cut away. Think about it.

You can get el Cheapo steel spoke rims for ~25 bux per rim new, but you'll likely spend twice that trying to find stock OEM-type rims. By the time you buy them, ship them, blast prime and paint them you will have $200 in them easily. AMHIK.

in all honestly, i don't care what they look like as long as theyre not cheezy or sportsy. but they have to be steel. and they all have to be alike (all 5 on em). i hate aluminum rims..

i like the steel rims on my xj, but they wont work on the cj5..

Try custombuiltsteelwheels.com Look at their "Smoothie" wheels - Style WS412 -without the hubcap of course. I've ordered a set from them 15x8 with 5/5.5 bolt pattern and 3.75 inch backspace and 4-inch center hole. I sure as hell hope they work!! The painted are about $75.00 each, plus shipping. They will also powdercoat them if you want - $25.00 each

Most of the aftermarket parts dealers sell imported reproductions of the 16"x4.5" Willys steel wheels. But they run from $99 -$130 range, and I'm sure shipping won't be cheap, five of those are heavy. You can get 'em from JC Whitney, Krage's, 4WD Hardware, Walck's, etc. Maybe a local parts place can get 'em for ya without the shipping cost.

You've probably already looked, but in case you haven't check all the local bone yards. There's at least one up this way that still has a few older FSJs, and still have a bunch of wheels for them. If wheels from a Scout 80 would fit that's another option. Some day I actually need to get up there and grab a set...I'd like to have at least two full sets of wheels so I can change between two different types of tires fairly easily...I still want a set of NDTs to run around on, but it would be nice to have some more agressive tires as well :). I doubt they'd charge more than $5 or $10 a wheel for old stock steel wheels...can't be that much demand for them any more.

same here. everything i have is 15 inch. if the mutt rims would have worked, it would mean another size to buy..

i like to have spares of everything i can. so commonality of parts is important.. but not tooooooo important...

Nice Ebay find. I'm planning on getting some tires and I wanted to keep my stock 16' rims. I was going to get the 34X9 SS TSL's but those would look more stock. Are the 7.50x16's as tall as the 34's?

Here's a side view of those tires from the same ad. They look pretty tall to me. That seller looks to be a tire dealer, I've seen those on there a few times from them, same ad. I think one just ended yesterday and now there's a new one.
