I'm trying to install an original bus wheel in my cj, but the po replaced the dash, gauges, cut a new hole in the fire wall and moved the steering column to the left to accomodate the seats he also put in, so i'm not really sure where the original steering column and wheel go, or the angle. Can anyone help me out with this or possably post a pic of the dash and floor board where the steering column comes through?

My PO had the same idea- fortunently he gave up between the diamond plate and actually cutting the dash. The center of the column opeing is 12- 5/8" from the outside edge of the original dash.

Thanks for the reply and the pic, this helps out a lot. From what i can tell from the picture there is a hole for the column to come through the dash, and not coming up from underneath it, correct? I have seen that done too.

In the dash itself it's a "half oval" cut out, open at the dash bottom. Then there is a bracket piece the steering shaft goes through. My bracket is not screwed into the dash, which is why the steering shaft is hanging down. You can see the screw holes where its supposed to be fixed.
