We have flushed the engine coolant system and now are ready to install the two freeze plugs we removed. Is a special tool or a special technique to accomplish this?? Any help would be greatly appreciated

There are drivers made to install freeze plugs, but you can find a socket that fits the inside diameter of the plug you are installing and drive it in with a hammer. Just make sure you drive it in nice and square. Use a piece of emery cloth or something to clean the hole in the block up well. I usually put a little bit of indian head sealer around the outside of the plug before driving it in. It kind of acts like a lubricant to help drive it in, but then cures as time passes.
