Those rockers and loooong pushrods can't help the upper end.

Now that looks like a fun project. Wish I was a better machinist. I'd try something like that.

Some tech. Maybe someone can use this in the future....

Stock F134 Cylinder head Flow #'s

    Lift cyl 1 cyl 2
    .100 60.0 62.4
    .200 105.3 105.9
    .300 127.1 130.1
    .400 135.8 140.4
    .500 140.3 143.5

As you can see there is not much gain after .300" lift. The best thing you could do would be to port and polish for better performance.

For having 2" intake valves that's pretty terrible. Needs a turbo to help push.

Forced induction would be a big help. Another problem is the intake valve overhangs the cylinder. That also causes some issues as well. The entire intake system is terrible by design. I'm sure a custom intake would make a difference.

People used to mill the cast-in manifold off Ford 200/250 heads to make custom intakes back in the day.

I have two F-heads where the side bulge for the carb has been milled off, and a wide oval port coming in from the side is created. A fabricated side-mount is made from 14ga sheetmetel, as well as a “cover” for the top where the carb hole used to be (still gotta get to that buried head bolt). The fabricated intake is a 90 degree sweep leading to a 4 bbl carb flange. The heads have 2.12 Chevy intake valves and run roller rockers up top.

Thanks for posting up that link. The southwest Florida Jeepers are a breed of their own. They’ve been developing F134 race engines for around 60 years or more. Not many cores/builders to be found in south Florida anymore.
I still have the Maybe Baby body out in the yard, along with the pizza cutters.

Try Reggie at Austrial off old Griffin road, if they are still there.
They did my F head machine work and a couple other go Fastie projects.
