    As I’m in the midst of adding an overdrive to my 59 CJ5 would someone know what the circled part of the T90 cover plate is or was used for? Thanks in advance.

    Reverse switch. Replace with a shallow head bolt / pipe plug depending on thread or modify the shift linkage.

    That top shift tower with the backup light switch is from a ‘69 to ‘71 CJ. The last couple years of the earlies had to have back-up lights from the factory. Thats a fairly rare piece.
