After going down hills I've noticed 90w coming from the weep hole in the bell housing, must be coming out of the front bearing retainer set up. The T90 has all new gaskets and seals, oil slinger was installed and sealant applied to bolt threads. Does the felt seal that goes over the input shaft need time to saturate and stop leaking?

Check out “metalshapers” t90 rebuild on YouTube
He uses a “sealed bearing” ( inside seal removed) to prevent this from happening. I believe either Novak or AA has a step by step also and they use the same bearing. AFAIK the felt seal is the only item that prevents the oil leak in such cases as yours.

There really is no seal on the front of the t-90a. The felt keeps dust out but it doesn't keep oil in. Make sure your not over full on oil, don't park facing downhill. Sealed front bearing would be the best solution but i'ld be more worried if it stopped leaking.

On Tonk I slipped some greased O rings over the input shaft to occupy the space between the bearing (sealed) and the inside of the retainer. I polished up the inside of the retainer so they wouldn't get ground into greasy rubbery smuck.

Back in the old days we would use 1-1/2 front seals , 1- new one and half of the old one .
This would seal the input shaft .

Next time I have the T90 out I'll be putting in a sealed bearing and 1 1/2 felt seals. Should have remembered about this but I haven't worked on a T90 in 40 years.:)

I had a problem with the front of the cluster gear shaft leaking but it leaked down between the bellhousing and trans. I had to pull it out a few inches and goop it up.
