I couldn't sleep at all last night thinking about installing the hard top! Using my gantry crane, it was no problem, perfect height!

    Finally got Gary out there!

It's only 92 degrees, still acceptable with the large fan blowing!

Still some tweaking to do, but should be good to go. The glass that came with it, well, I'll look at buying new glass. Still have seals to install around the doors, lift gate.

Our youngest daughter came in to town, so, got here to sit in the drivers seat~ family is getting excited! That's good!

And for your entertainment, The CHEVY CHEVETTE SONG!!

Hi, started on my Classic Auto air conditioning installation! wahoo!

This is what the original area looked like before cowl modification~ not my idea, but worth it!

This was still in the works to have a removable access panel, which I've done.

This is why I didn't want to install the metal dash! With the dash out of the way, it's so much easier to access the area.

now one can see why the removable access panel is so, well, not necessary, but makes life a little easier! The panel will be insulated and sealed.

ok, got to find something to do! ;)

Hi gang;) Today I installed the rear headliner~ it comes as an expensive cardboard and looks really cheap, but is a good base for installed fabric headliner to give a nice luxurious look. I ran out of head liner glue:( I've got to figure nicer way other than the screws here.

I worked on attaching the hoses, no biggy~ tomorrow I should get the condensor installed, radiator maybe.
I didn't like the pre-made hoses as they're not clocked quite right and too long, so I ordered some fittings, hose to make my own custom hoses.

    until tomorrow~ ;)

OMG! (y) Thank you so much Greevesman! Right now it's the piddly stuff~
    * I mounted the new fuse panel and have wires all over the place, but not routed at this time.
    * I have completed the brake lines and really could bleed at this time.
    * Waiting on new fuel line, should be easy.
    * Still waiting on some AC fittings(once installed I can evacuate and make sure it holds vacuum, then charge the system.
    * Had ordered a fan spacer, but was missing the pilot adapter to bolt to the water pump, had to send back (not the first time)
    * Waiting for the new dash pad and I think it was just delivered~ then I can re-install the metal dash.
    * I have an order waiting for new hard top glass, seals, just don't have to have it right now, but all I have to do is push the buy it now :banghead:

It's a lot of hurry up and wait, plus the temps have still been upwards of 98-102 degrees~ I don't have a need to suffer when I play
    dne'

I have an AC charging/recycling machine, I've had it for a long time, works great, saves me from having to depend on a mechanic shop;)

Almost looks like a completed Bronco, but alas, is not, but I get excited just looking at it! :bananatool:

Knowing that I did this, I say, "I did this?"

I'll admit, it's not quite a nice in person , I know where just about every flaw is and I take credit for every speck of dust that got in my paint, but I didn't pay a painter to paint my project. It gives me great pride; I just hope it runs ok!

As I wrote in the previous post, the dash pad came in today and fits perfectly! even the holes are in the precise location!

I bought these screw covers from Amazon and they offer a nice finished look vs bare screws.

This is my 32" tilt steering column, it's chinese, but what isn't: I'm impressed by the packaging the darned column looks fantastic! 174.oo Yeah, I could buy an Ididit column for 8-900, but there are parts of my brain that decides to go cheap sometime.

I'll be painting it the same color as the dash.

It's been a few months since we had attended the Nifty50ee's, but we went this past weekend! It was still 97 degrees, but we stayed for about 3 hours, had some chinese food, then went home. about a 30 minute drive. The AC works great and that really helps! Despite the heat, it was a decent turn out of Classic cars and a Mustang group showed up. I need to start looking for new tires/wheels. These tires/wheels I bought in '09 plus they've been under flood waters~ plus an excuse for some new wheels;)

How do you decide what to drive each day? Let alone what to take to the car shows. You have a fleet of dream cars!

Grant, it's kind of crazy of deciding what to drive~ I love each and everyone of my Classics and bonded to each! Nice days=non-AC cars(jeeps), hot days=AC cars(mustang, TR6) and '76 Ford Tractor when I need to pull my trailer around our small lot, or just sit on it and feel the vibe! lol I'm thinking the Bronco is going to be a fun thing and hope to drive it quite a bit!! ;)
    thank you!!!

    Hi fellow car/jeep/truck/tractor enthusiasts! :coffee:
Omg, we had a lot of rain last night~ much needed~ Thank you mother nature:bow:;)

This morning, I went ahead and finished the front headliner lining~ just tedious play.

Let it set for a bit, don't dare fold it over or touch the parts together too quickly!

I have numerous brands of headliner adhesive, they all work about the same I suppose.

Ready for installation, but not for a while; just nice to have it done and out of my to do list;)

I went ahead and ran the fuel line~ one step or two at a time;)

Yesterday, I had to pull the hard top back up to lay the windshield down. In installing the dash, there are 6 or seven screws that need to be screwed into the dash~ can't do it with the windshield frame upwards:banghead:, wasn't that big of deal~ don't know what I was thinking:shrug:

Well, four days later I've read 25 pages of your build thread. Very entertaining. As others have written, I'm impressed with your shop(s), tools, skills and attitude.

I think you need to pull your running gear and start over! I see overspray on your data plate, just can't have that!

Hey Stakebed, I was just looking over your intro and jeep and the Batam trailer~ really awesome!! For fun, I read through most of my posts, takes a while, but seems like yesterday when I started this build;)

My '46 Civlian military trailer isn't as neat as your trailer, but I was anxious to have a trailer match my Jurassic jeep;)
