I’m coming up on 2 years without any fuel delivery issues. In-line pump, pulling from front and rear tanks with a brass 6 way valve.

Welcome to the other side. Have you done any wheeling with you fuel injection yet?

Just wondering where you were able to source a brass 6 way valve? I wound up using two 3 way valves on my truck. Had to remember to switch both of them each time. If I did not it would pump from one tank and return to the other and over fill it.

I guess ill move my trailer posts here since i dont want to steal james thread. The first thing i did when a got it home and disconnected the trailer was order a new coupler on amazon. It came with a 2" collar lock coupler that i hated the first time trying to open it. I switch it out for a demco 2 5/16 ez-latch and a curt forged ball mount and 2 5/16 ball.
    Original coupler.

I was able to stop by the local metal yard and picked up some precut gussets and weld on d rings they were out of 6x6 gussets and they were about to close so they didn't have time to cut more so i git 4x4. I dont like how alot of people mount the d rings to the outside of the side rail, i think having them as in line as possible would be better. This is the layout im thinking of. Does anyone have any recommendations or concerns about how i have the d ring mocked up?

I think ill go back later next week and pick up some 6x6 gussets for a little more weld area.

Forgot to add thanks to james recommendation i ordered a set of axle strap tie downs from macs

My only comment about putting the D rings all the way out to the corners was when test fitting mine, the straps would go into the tires....I had to move the rings inward - mostly for the narrow track CJ. I am using axle straps around either the spring perch or just outside the perch in the axle tube. A different strapping point might yield different results for where you can put the rings. Just something to keep in mind....
Also.... interesting to see the different hitch coupler. Mine came with the forged unit you swapped to.

I think it might be how the dealer orders them. All the larger trailers had the demcos already on them and the smaller trailers had the collar style. Also i think the 14 foot was only supposed to have brakes on one axle but mine has brakes on both axles.

As for the d rings, i should wait untill i can load the jeep then play around with ring placement

Why not add more for multiple options?

The priority is getting the jeep and trailer ready for the Colorado trip. I can always and more whenever i need them, i already bought 10 d rings. I dont want a buch of randomly placed ring rattling around so im going to install them as needed

Idk, dunk the d-ring loops in plasti-kote or dupli-color cans of bedliner. 3 or 4 coats. Doesn’t rattle so much.

i have only done old rusty ‘rescue’ wrenches that i ran thru the blast box, then automotive shake-n-shoot cleared, then dunked the handles, some a few years on so far, holding up well, but dont get daily use…

I've been really bad at keeping this thread updated, sorry if this post is long. Back in 2022 i drove the jeep from socal to Colorado for the forum trip the tbi fuel injection worked great and fuel mileage was way better than the carb ever was. Intank fuel pump worked perfectly. The 3.73 gears were great for cruising at 80mph loaded with camping gear but were not ideal for off road. When i got home i started the never ending ordering of parts.

Unfortunately my mother passed away unexpectedly in September and taking care of everything thats comes with the death of a family member became my only priority. The jeep of course got put on the back burner for the rest of the year.

It wasnt until February of '23 before i could get back to the jeep. I planed on regearing to 4.88 and installing a new AA overdrive. I sure its not a surprise to anyone here but it snowballed into a huge project. The leaf springs were sagging badly on my way home from Colorado so i replaced them with BDS springs and replaced all frame bushings. Also used 5/8 ubolts and 3/8 spring plates from ruff stuff. On the front axle i replaced all TREs and ball joints. The wheel bearings and splindle had signs of being close to getting seized so i got new wheel bearings and new billet spindles from brennans garage. It was also regeared with nitro 4.88 gears and ARB locker and diff cover along with chromoly front shafts with largers thsn stock u joints.

The rear axle also got the nitro 4.88 gears, ARB locker and diff cover. The wheel bearings looked ok but i changed them anyway. One of the full float spindles from herm that had the inner flange machined was oversize and could move around. I think thats why the spindle bolts came loose on my last Rubicon trip. I trashed them for new billet spindles again from brennans garage. They were expensive but they fit perfectly.

The overdrive is currently still sitting on a shelf. AA built it and shipped sooner than they quoted me and their service has always been good in my experience. Herm advertised an overdrive shift linkage kit that would fit my transmission swap and with working 70hrs a week i didn't have time to fab the linkage. Herm still hasn't shipped it in almost 9 months and ss far as im concerned he stole my money and i will never see the parts i ordered from him. Jim here on the forum was generous enough to donate some linkage parts to help me fab something up but i haven't had the time to do it yet.

On the '23 Colorado trip the jeep worked great except that there was a big fuel leak from the top of the fuel tank after topping off with gas. The full bestop softtop kept me and the dog warm and dry. I still need to get used to the ARB lockers but they should work great on the Rubicon next year. Ill try to get the OD put in when work slows down over the winter.

Its been fun watching the jeep evolve over the years and I've learned a lot from all the great people on this forum and had a great time meeting and wheeling with many of you guys.

You’ve done a great job with this Jeep. Very tidy workmanship from front to back. Someday you’ll paint it and everyone else will have to look and agree that it’s one of the new nicest Jeeps on this forum.

It's a beast! I'm envious of the fuel injection, hoping we get together in 24.

I know you keep telling me to paint it, Scott. If i did it would need 50 lbs of bondo. The matte primer and patina do a good jod hiding how rough the body is. Plus id be to paranoid of messing up the paint job to have fun wheeling it.

I hope so to, its always a pleasure wheeling and hanging out Rich. Still planning on running the Rubicon next year?
