I started disassembly of my front axle assembly and the driver's side axle was apart in pieces. My question is can I replace the bendix type axle with a Spicer type. The prices are you know way different.

I can only speak from personal experience. Dana 25, bendix joint with the same issue. The spicer shaft fit right in without issue.

Yes no problem, & the Spicer units will let you set the steering stops for a bit tighter turn radius.

I pulled a set of axles with the spicer joints a few weeks ago. The seal surfaces show some wear but could probably be polished.

PM me if you are interested in these.

Hmmmm, I had to set the stops farther out (more turning radius) when I pulled the Bendix and replaced with Spicer in my 3B's D25 about 50 years back. I replaced the spindle bushings too. The Spicer shafts are stronger but there is a small price to pay for that.

    From the FSM sttering section-

If I read this correctly max turning angle with Rzeppa's is 29°, Bendix is 23° & Spicers are 27.5°.
