Complete Rear PTO set up. (2)
    Spicer chain drive PTO.
    Ramsey PTO with 4K winch.
    Extra drive shaft.

Now I just have to figure how I’m going to use it.

Nice score. Pretty much covers all the bases right there.

I’m pretty set on using the winch. PO said it was out of a Willys PU. It will be interesting to see if I have to adjust shaft length for the CJ5. The winch frame would fit the CJ, but it’s kinda rough, so I’ll probably fab a new one.

I’ve got questions spinning in my head about the rear PTO box. The Ramsey has a dual output shaft on the pto. I’m wondering if the rear PTO box could be turned from the Ramsey instead of the Spicer? A more specific question might be: How did they power both a front winch and a rear ‘Ag specific’ PTO?

I don’t know that I need a rear PTO, but it sure would be nice to pull the woods finish mower around the yard a few times, just to say that I did!

Ramsey also made a PTO with dual levers to control front and rear outputs seperately. Picture in this thread: ramsey dual output

Even if the pto outputs are locked together, just disengage the front winch drum to use the rear box.

I saw that. Although dual control would be nice, I don’t think it’s essential. The shafts spinning shouldn’t hurt anything as long as the rear implement, or the front winch is disengaged.

There’s an event at at a local state park in June where they operate the various Ag jeeps. I can probably get some good visuals there.

You will need an overrunning clutch to keep the mower driveline from motivating the jeep when you step on the clutch.

That is quite a pile of great stuff. I love that older Ramsey winch design with the rounded case.

If you want to see more PTO stuff checkout this page: http://48cj2a.com/PTOs.htm

Koenig also made dual-output PTOs that had the flange for the rear driveshaft and PTO. The model 50 and 58 both worked for CJs; I have a 50.

You may likely need a pto take-off that 'clocks' differently than a pickup, at the transfer. And my Cj5's all have two piece shafts to the front winch, with a center support bearing. It's a tricky alignment.

    Just send them to me.

That particular Ramsey PTO (looks like a PT1-T) can be re-clocked. There are two sets of bolt holes so that the chain box can be dropped to the "jeep" position. The only difference between the PT1-T and PT1-J is how they bolt it together. Thus, he can take it apart and re-assemble with the correct orientation.

Great info! Maybe just a shaft adjustment then.

I had one of those rear pto setups on my old 62. I did use my finish mower behind it but you need about 10 acres to make it easy to turn. Gotta admit, for the property I have now, it's alot of straight paths and would work good. The sickle bar mower would work good too with that

With as much money as I spend on this thing, practicality has nothing to do with it at this point! Just to see it make something go would give me a warm, fuzzy feeling.

Although the Willys Jeep Rally was held at Hueston Woods outside Oxford, Ohio back in June 2022, should be the same basic weekend for 2023. Website should be updated later this year. http://www.mw-willysjeep.com/

Speaking of good visuals, had my '48 CJ2A (body-less) on display at the farm display. Rear PTO was running while the Ramsey MX200-R (less cable) running up front. Used a Ramsey DP-1 PTO shifter. As mentioned earlier, pretty tight for the front driveshaft to miss everything. (y)
