Have 71 cj5 starts oil smoke out right side 5-10 minutes after startups. None left side
Unknown history of engine ran 6 months ago with headers didn't seem to smoke.
Compression at that time around 150.
Changed 2 stock exhaust and 2 used mufflers? Also rebuilt oil pump with hp spring oil pressure 40-60.

Too many variables and unknowns to deal with..
    Worn valve guide(s) ?
    Worn/broken oil ring(s)?
Plugged oil return hole in cylinder head on that bank ?
    PCV system operation okay?
Spark plug color/deposits on effected bank of cylinders ?
It's residual oil after shutdown that finds it's way into combustion chamber.
Leakage test might help. Air introduced into the each cylinder at top dead center (TDC) to determine if
leakage past valves or piston rings.
Any recent oil change made ?
Was multi-grade or synthetic oil introduced?

Unknown engine had good 150psi last fall with very little smoke. Run very little before winter. Not sure what oil po had run but had setup very long. Plugs didn't look bad.
Cleaned carb, new gas tank, and plugs fired right up.
Would think valve guides worn would smoke on startup. PCV valve appears to be operational.
Just surprised only pass side and takes 5-10
    Minutes.
    I do have leak tester.

Sounds like the passenger bank may have some sticky oil control rings. Might soak them with some Marvel Mystery Oil or similar down the cylinders. Let them soak a couple days, turn over the engine without the plugs in and cover the spark plug holes with clean rags to keep from blowing fluid everywhere. This keeps the cylinders from hydro locking. Reinstall the spark plugs and run it down the road getting it fully warmed up if possible. This can help loosen the rings up. No guarantees but it can help or revive an engine that has been sitting.

After resurrecting my 225 I always have to ask if it recently sat for a long time. Sounds like it may have. Letting these engines sit for a long period of time is terrible for them.
