I know everyone has their idea of color choices. I've spent hours just looking at Bronco's old and new. I don't want mine to look like everyone else's. I'm drawn to the Sublime green (yeah, I know)~ it's a pretty color, very spry, energetic, can be seen for miles. I think with accent of black, matt black: windshield frame, door glass frames, roll bar, door handles, perhaps even a matt black hood, or the hood scoop part in matt black, then a rocker stripe stating Bronco. I think I'd even like fender flares, just enough to break the green at each fender. Under the hood, I kind of like the look of that bronco that I was drooling over a few posts back. The matt black and glossy sublime green really~ well, I like it, but there are other awesome greens that I've been noticing as we drive around. The wheels I bought from that fella, perhaps even matt them out which I'll say below.

Not these fender "flares", but subtle ones.

I'm also drawn to this color, pretty much the entire idea except for the Bronco grill.

Then the wheels/rims could be matted out black with that spray on rubber stuff, but can be removed (with labor) if I didn't like it. However, I wish my tires had white lettering as I like the old school look.

The dash is killing me! I want the AC registers come through the dash, not below the dash. I don't need a hazard button on the dash as it will be on the steering column. I don't need an ash tray, who needs an ash tray these days? I've even seen where people move the glove box over to the left a bit to allow for an AC vent nearer the door. I have seen a factory radio that's been upgraded but maintain the factory original look and use the existing radio holes.

I'm just rattling the keyboard here talking to my awesome friends which have been with me for several years. It's an awefully nice day so far, guess I'd better go do something!!! ;)
    dne' ;)

HI! I can't believe how nice a day it is here! omg;) Anyway, spent a little time temporarily installing the new windshield frame. I found some thin stainless steel weld in bolts on ebay which worked great! It's held by 10 of 'em. I'll take it off in a bit and store it for a later date~ Ah the simple things in life;)

I liked the sublime green on your jeep, but I think it would be a bit much on the bronco. I do, however, agree with your choice of matte black accents, as that's the only thing I think clashes on your jeep.

What about something like the current ford "guard" green? I think it's an awesome color, and definitely rare.

The area under the windshield hinge is notorious for drawing rust. Be sure to slather those bolts with antisieze.
I would also be sure to paint the body under the hinge and include a bead of sealant there prior to mounting the windshield.
But you probably already knew this.......
On the color, You have done a lot of the undercarriage in blue. Is this going to clash with the green/black scheme you're looking at?

Jdaddy, yeah, I was going to use antiseize for sure, but the on the mating surface of the hinge and cowl, that was a very rusty area, luckily salvageable. It will be painted with por15, but was thinking either silicone as it will be kind of permanent, or that camper type self stick seal? meh

In 1971, my dad bought a brand new F-150 truck. It was grabber blue, it was a nice looking truck, but I was never excited about the color, even then. But for fun's sake, found these pics. I'm not worried about the Ford blue which I used on the undercarriage, engine, trans will be Ford blue. Let's just say "contrast" lol I'm not sold on any color and I'm sure what ever color it is going to wind up, will be nice;)

Hi! finally something to report! A fella Bronco person came over yesterday to see what I'm up to. He's on the Bronco forum and he has a ways to go on his Bronco too.

So, I pushed the poor thing outside, first time in a while, but looks pretty good. when I'm satisfied with the door adjustment, then I can start thinking getting the bronco in epoxy and high build where needed.

The porta-power is back here to push the bed side at the back out a 1/4" necessary for a tail gate to fit. I have a tail gate but it badly damaged, but may could use it to mock it up. I had already fixed that, and magically, it must have moved back!

The reason to putting the body back on the frame was to check this door mis-alignment, I was just going to adjust it when I had it together, but that was dumb thinking, so here I am.

Stretch told me on Tom's Bronco (vendor) the way to correct this hole for the door handle is to slightly take some spot welds loose and eventually move the body of the door to where it's supposed to me. I'll be looking at that tomorrow. I'll re-visit that site as they have a how-to video. Personally before I found out the "fix", I just thought to use a die grinder! lol

You know, I've got a set of 16 x 7 or 16 x 8 wheels that match the ones on your Bronco, if you were looking for an extra set...... (hint hint, get them outta my garage =P )

Gee, that's nice of you to offer; if you were next door I could walk over and get them, but alas, you're really far away! I know about tires/wheels, they take up a ridiculous amount of space too!

Hi! here's the low down on today :susp:  I did what I could on the doors and I'm pleased with the fit after fanigaling with it. Then took me forever to find the bolts to mount the rot(Rotisserie-rot for short as I hate spelling it out! :madwife:) I gave it a test turn and all looks well, only goes to about 75 degrees, but that's fine. I have the maxjax steadying it, not that I don't trust it. I was dreading getting under the darned body to sand it all, seam seal it, etc. I still need to work on the doors and prep them, what else? oh crap, the fenders and grill! omg, how could I forget , then some holes to weld up on the fenders

Before I put the engine back, not soon, but I think I'd like to address this engine mount. I don't want to replace the entire thing! Any ideas?

HI! I had just enough epoxy and high build to spray the sides, and outer sides of the doors. Just trying to this done before the rain sets in. So, body filler, block sanding, to get these prepped;)

Silly, not orange , but Sublime green or a shade close. However, when driving around, I'm fixated on the colors of cars; amazing how many gray and white cars there are.
