Was contemplating installing swinging pedals in my "61 Cj5 but I'm not sure how to make the clutch linkage work with the stock F-134 clutch. Not sure if I should use cable, rods or some kind of slave cylinder setup. If anyone has done this I would love to hear how and what you used.

I did this conversion on my cj5. i used a dual swing pedal kit from advance adapters and it uses a chevy clutch brake MC combo that was used on trucks in the early 60's. the only down side is its only a single circuit MC and some people dont like that. but the 134 uses a pull type clutch cable from the factory, and if you can find a 1 1/8" pull clutch slave cylinder and make a bracket for it, itll work alright.

I used pedals from a YJ with power brakes and hydraulic clutch. All works great but on a V6. I don’t think it would be any different on an F-head.

Never thought about using a cable and pull type master cylinder. I will have to look into that.

I am interested in doing the same on my '56 CJ5. Do you have advice/measurements for mounting location?

We put the pedals as high as we could ( to keep as much pedal length as we could). Made it so the clutch was positioned as close to the original spot as we could. The brake was a bit of work as I also wanted it close to the stock position. THe process is documented in my build starting on about post #463 . Scott's '66 Make It Driveable Build. http://www.earlycj5.com/xf_cj5/index.php?threads/129438/page-24
I really dont think I'd change anything. Feel free to ask any questions.
