    Hello-

I just posted this in the Introduction section. I thought that I would post here in Builds and Fabricators department too for those who don't look in the "new guy" area. I'm wondering if posting my project build would be appropriate for this forum?

Earlier this year, I inherited this project from my good friend and neighbor who passsed away at age 90. He was a life long car guy with way too many projects. He started the project in 1969. It's a CJ2A frame with a F- head and M38A1 body. So far, I have rebuilt the entire brake system, installed new wheel bearings, almost all seals, gaskets and anything rubber. My plan is to keep it mostly stock (suspension and tires) for now, repair the rust on the body, give it a paint job and enjoy wheeling, mostly in Arizona and Colorado. I'm not really into the military aspect of the M38A1 tub. This build will be more geared towards a civillian CJ5, than a military look.

I'm looking for a good fit for my Jeep "Bubba" in terms of a forum to post my build. With so many good forums like CJ2A Page, G503, Old Willys, Willys M Jeeps, etc., it's hard to choose, especially when Bubba is such a Frankenjeep. What do you guys think? Is Earlycj5 a good fit for my project?

Yep, post it up here. It doesn't get any better.
My 3B is only a 49 year project at this point.

    And welcome aboard!

Absolutely, you'll love this forum - it's the best group of jeep guys on the planet. We don't discriminate.

My 1957 cj5 has a 1969 dauntless v6, 1968 rear axle, 1974 front axle, 1970 tub, 1978 t18 transmission, so I'm fluent in frankenjeep. It's all about the fun! Welcome to the forum!

As long as your not planning to cut a hole in the hood with a pan bottom for the carb/air cleaner to sit it. If you are - I have several here to choose from so we can save a good hood :)
