I am going to have to figure out my cooling for the 225 swap i am going to do. I had the newer aluminum radiator in my last flatfender. It was a pretty good looking unit. Has anyone sued it to properly cool the 225? Yes the outlets are differnt but i can get them moved.

? It is a fairly Litigious Society that we live in .
Seriously, I would put in a 2" or larger , aluminum radiator that is designed for a 225. For the money & the entire outcome of the Job, I think it's the way to go. Sell the 4 cyl. radiator to someone that needs it & move forward with efficiency & Less headaches.

I just installed this champion radiator a few weeks ago. It is made specifically for 225 conversions in CJs with 4 cylinder grills - mounts to the grill using the stock mounting locations, requiring zero extra brackets or modifications.

I would modify it if it is cost effective.

Fortunately I did not buy anything yet. I have the original Lhead radiator, but it is pretty ratty.
The mounting is a bit different. sad thing is i have a CJ5 V6 grill with brackets sitting against my shop wall.

The stock V6 radiator is just a 2 row core.
I had a 3 row core installed and it ran so much better, especially during hot days.
I added a fan shroud and 6 blade fan, too.
Any aftermarket 3 row core should be a significant improvement for your project.

I have a dauntless in a SWB land rover with the stock 4cyl radiator..
it runs hot.. nothing more to say..
had the radiator re cored this summer to a larger core and it got me 15% better coolling, but it still runs hot

a good fan and shroud is key no matter what size or core you use..

take the original 4cyl and see what a local shop can do for you.. problem is you will have to either modify the 4cyl grill for a V6 radiator or work an electric fan situation with the 4cyl radiator..
