I'm hoping the combo will bring out the best of the older colors that are put together. I have a half top I'm painting the same cream color as the wheels. I'm thinking it will work out well. Hope to get that top into paint this week or next, then reassemble it to put it on.

My jeep was spruce tip green, I've never seen it freshly painted either, but I like it!

Tub has been flipped over with help from friends. Bottom has been done and now the top half. First pictures are from Monday and the finished ones are from yesterday (Tuesday) Progress is slow but still moving forward. Have been moving into new house and trying to get mine ready for sale, so time has been limited to work on this one. I've decided to apply Raptor liner to the floors. After sand blasting the tub and now paint, the pits are more apparent and bugging the crap out of me. I like Raptor liner and normally apply it to most if not all of my floors any ways, but didn't want to on this one because a lot of people say and rightfully so in a lot of situation, that people are hiding damage. My floors are rock solid, but I can't see looking at pitting. I hate rust and liner helps keep that away. (IMHO)

So flipped on Monday, touch up a few spots and re-primed a few spots. Painted yesterday and hopefully getting to apply the Raptor liner either today or tomorrow. I'm running out of good weather to get this done. Last few days and a couple in the future are warm enough to get this done.

The final paint, then liner and into new enclosed trailer to cook off for a while. The chassis has already gone for the ride over to the new house and sits in a heated garage awaiting its Tub.

I've replaced the stock Dana 27 axle with a narrow track 30 with big disc brakes. So the rebuilt Ross V6 box will be used now with cross over DOM drag link and tie rod. I also did a flip on those and now they are closer to the bell crank..

It actually works great and seems to improve the steering geometry a lot. Steer with much lighter inputs.

Beautiful! I had my interior of Farm Jeep Willy sprayed with Vortex liner. I don't really like the look, but it keeps it protected from muddy, scratchy boots, chainsaws and most of all, kids.

I'm getting closer to finishing this build after a long and hard few years. My mom ended up passing in June of 21, right after my Dad. I was executor and between all the legal stuff and trips back and forth to court and attorneys offices, this project was side lined. Then I decided to buy my parents house and the move further delayed all of the Jeep projects I had on the burner. So there has been some movement on this one, the tub is back on the front clip is on and I spend most of my time looking through boxes in the now much smaller barn, for parts to finish it up. Its a big downer when you have to keep digging for parts in boxes and plastic bins. But it is what it is and now the push is on the get her done. Pictures a little later on, as they are all on my cell. But I did end up moving it to a friends place with a 2 post lift. So nice to have access to a lift.

I DID manage to pick up a few new project Jeeps though, while I was gone. I bought a 46 VEC and 81 Scrambler, both out of Colorado.

I was cleaning up a few windshield parts today and I found some surprises. I have never seen chrome windshield rests before. And after cleaning off black paint, I found the windshield brackets were chrome as well and no, I don't think it was ever a Tux.

I have another issue maybe you guys can help me with. My windshield frame has been tweeked and what I mean is it looks like someone has been grabbing the the top of the frame when exiting the Jeep, maybe a heavier person. So the drivers side is pulled towards the rear of the Jeep by aproximately an inch. Its obvious now that I have nice paint on it and the glass is out and waiting to go back on. No pictures of that right now, but I'm wondering how or if there is a way to bend that back forward. I've thought about clamping it to my car trailer and bending it back, but I would destroy the soft top lip on top and probably wreck the paint. Anyone ever have this happen to them and how did you fix it?? Thanks CJ6 on lift.jpg CJ6 tub on.jpg CJ6 windshield bumps.jpg This is the before and after picture of the hood stops/bumpers.

I have the original hood for this, but it was abuse and bent and bowed a bit. But I tried some repair work, but after paint, I was not happy after installing it. So I dug through the hord and found two others. Problem after sand blasting them both, the one that's really straight has the snorkel cut and cover and the other correct for year one was bondoed up and has a good dent on one side, needing repair. I'm going with the earlier snorkel hood, but will require priming and paint.

Where out of Colorado did you get the Scrambler? Guy I used to help had an '81 - Grey - that he sold before moving to Hawaii. Wondered if you got it.

No, not the same one. Bought it out of Delta Colorado. Guys name is Bob Donovan or Boston Bob as he is better known. Waiting on him to bring me out an 80 CJ7 , absolutely rust free with a 401 in it. That motor is going into the scrambler and I'm going to put in a 304 or 4.3 stroker back in the CJ7 . That's the plan anyways.
