Mount Diagram

Can you guys help me out? Restoring a 74 CJ5. The grill with this mount and the hardware basically fell apart. Trying to find a replacement and a diagram showing how it all fit together. I have multiple manuals and no luck finding one. Thanks, Glenn.

 

You understand that the part you picture is part of the radiator grille, and is not supposed to come off? I expect the rusted portion in the center supports the bottom of the grille steel to prevent crush when you tighten the bolt. K-W has this kit Grille Mount Bushing Kit (1 required) Fits 55-71 CJ-5, 6, M38A1 which looks like the parts for '72-75, though they only include up to '71. There is also a sleeve that goes in the middle to limit the crush of the insulators, I presume. From the top, it's bolt washer grille insulator frame insulator washer nut, with the sleeve inside. The bolt may be too short for a '72-up grille.

From memory, the insulators for the later grille are larger in diameter than the earlier part. Stacking order should be the same. The parts book is not explicit about the rubber bushings, specifying one of these ( J0972278 ) Upper Body Bushing for 1967-1973 C101 Jeepster, C104 Commando by Crown Automotive

Happen to me while doing my ls swap. I just welded back on the grill, pretty easy job. With the rust you shoulb be able to locate exactly where to weld it.
