Again sorry, but since my Jeep went to the pro shop I have a problem which came some days after.
I already asked but now it seems more precise:

in fact, I have the feeling that all cylinders are not working enough, sometimes.
it is a little bit like I was out of gas ( so I filled the tank!) but no change.
I have clean the carburetor the best I can.
The points were changed, spark plugs too, during the stay at the pro shop (oil, grease were made too).
At idle the engine turns, but sometimes it turns better, then slower, then better.
When I press accelerator it makes irregular process in rpm, but no explosions.
The engines goes in rpm, I can drive, but power is irregular.
I am not enough specialist to guess.
I go back Monday to the pro shop for changing the front brake hoses ( I don't want to do it myself, I ordered the hoses and the tools but we need to be 2 to do it ( taking air out of brakes) and at the shop they can do it better, they don't have to crawl under....
SO : can it be a problem with the condenser inside the Delco, or the coil ?
I'll check is there is water in the gas, it is stupid but now they add bio ethanol (10%) in the gas and twice there was a problem.
I suppose that, when the tank is hot because of sun, the gas produce some water which fall at the bottom of the tank.
But in the case of the Jeep it is not the same, that was with my Audi and my son's Audi, sudden stop after 2 minutes start.
You start, it starts, then after 2 minutes nothing, all in red. You restart, it turns and then it works again.
My question is : if condenser or coil doesn't work well, does the engines doesn't work at all or does it works irregularly...
    Difficult to explain en English!

I don't know about most folks, but the several condensor failures that I had with the original ignition system, were either engine run normal, or engine not run at all. Sometime it would backfire when it was about to quit on me.

Usually the hesitation when you start to go is the accelerator pump in the carb. Can't remember if you have the original Carter or solex carb

Ethanol is extremely harsh on fuel systems. it deteriorates the rubber fuel line and the diaphragm in the accelerator pump in the carburetor this could be the problem or a plugged fuel filter.

If it was running good before you took it to the shop then first suspect any parts that were changed. Spark plugs normally would be the last thing to suspect.

Coincidentally FWIW I just had a condenser fail on me this weekend. The symptoms started with an occasional stumble, then progressed to rough running, then to dying & would only cough during starting attempts.

I checked the fuel system thinking it was a stuck needle valve- got misled by all the un-burnt gas accumulating in the manifold. After pulling the carb apart & verifying the needle valve & float were OK I threw a spark tester into the circuit & Surprise! there was only intermittent spark which coincided with the coughing.

Swapped in a new condenser & he started right up & idled perfectly :)

Same here. Had more than one fail, going from running fine to stumbling and dying in about 30 seconds.

I would suspect the ignition coil before I suspected the condensor (ignition capacitor). Coils can work fine one minute and fail the next. BTDT.

Having an extra coil is a good idea. Then you can change them (easy) if you ever suspect a failure.

I would also put the original condensor back in to test. The shop should give you the old parts when they do any work. Also not difficult, but you may have to adjust the points afterward - not sure what the process is for an F134. It's different for different distributor designs.

JMO - Alan how much do you drive this Jeep? Normally I would not expect to change ignition parts more than every 20,000 kilometers or so - something like that. Changing these parts before they are due is asking for trouble. Mistakes, bad parts, etc. Seasoned parts are reliable parts.

Also, if you have an occasional misfire, ignition wires are much more suspect than any of these other parts. Changing the plugs will stress them too. Ignition wires wear out, just from weather and the heating and cooling cycle in the engine bay. These you should change based on time, not miles travelled. Try a spray bottle filled with plain water and see if some moisture around the wires makes a difference.

Well, these parts are never been changed; I changed myself the plug wires, and other parts of ignition easy to change.
The Jeep was running very well.
Then I gave it to the local shop for changing the points, was never changed.
The Jeep, after getting back, was working well and slowly problem came.
So tomorrow I go back to the local shop, for front brake hose to change.
I warned the boss that there was a problem, he knows well cars and I am sure that it will be repaired.
As you all know, when we repair a car, afterwards some other parts can have problem!
In this shop, they know very well old cars, with carburetors...
I just hope that I won't have to buy again parts.
But the carburetor is a Solex, still on sale for French old cars, coil and condenser are standard...
Just a question of patience... and trust.
    Thanks to all....(y)
