    Anybody use the Crown replacement tank for their 70-71? Same as Omix I think but it seems there are no options aside from plastique :worry: which I really have no interest in.

    Thats what I bought. Had to trim some of the seam with a wheel grinder to get it to not rub on the frame otherwise worked fine.

    Why not plastic? Virtually every vehicle fuel tank in the world is built from plastic, they are superior in almost every way.

    I've read a bunch of stories over the years of people having trouble with sealing them up around the sending unit. Not with OEM tanks that come on newer vehicles but in aftermarket applications such as this.

    I agree that they are superior in many ways.
