Yes, we needed a cat anyway, to look for rodents in the house and around. It works well.
And yes, a Jeeper, all winter she stayed in the Jeep... Destiny.

Chromoly shafts and zero rates arrived today. (Summit shipped the shafts Friday afternoon and they still arrived today. (y)) Got the old spring perches cut off and removed the shims. Removed the hub and spindle from the knuckle and installed the knuckle. Torqued the bottom nut to 80 lbs-ft, torqued the "threaded sleeve" to 50 lbs-ft. and torqued the top ball joint nut to 100 lbs-ft. Got ready to set the caster and weld the perches and it started raining. Think I'll weld them at 6* so the ujoint strap doesn't smack the driveshaft anymore at full droop.

I couldn't help myself. Got everything swapped out and went for a quick drive. Steers and handles much better than before. Guess we're ready for another trip. :D
The power steering pump still needs to be changed but I think that's about it. I also need to order a D44 yoke. The one on there is busted now and I don't know how many more ujoints it'll hold.

I changed the oil in Farm Jeep Willy, including cleaning the oil bath air cleaner. There was about a half inch of sediment in the bottom but the air horn was clean as a whistle. That thing works! Refilled the crankcase with Amsoil ZRod 10W30 and the air filter with some 10w30 conventional oil laying around the garage. Used a Wix filter. I feel good taking care of the Farm Jeep.

Replaced the power steering pump. It's nice to have steering assist again. Adjusted the distributor because it would occasionally diesel. I noticed in a video my brake lights weren't working. After rooting around the wiring harness it appears the turn signal switch went out.

Worked on my D18 TC leak and trying to figure out the steering issue….anyone have issues with dana 27 with power steering being wiggly? I don’t know if running my drag link to passenger knuckle and from passenger knuckle to driver side knuckle is the issue. Anyone running it that way have tie rod ends move a little in knuckle?

Your tie rod ends should not wiggle especially in the knuckle hole. Typically the power steering issues I've seen comes from the tie rod rotating as the drag ling pushes and pulls due to the pitman arm being too high and putting a slope to the drag link.

It’s only when I turn the wheel the threaded part with the crown nut moves a little so when I turn right they both move slightly to the left and visa versa. It’s not much but had a buddy tell me when I said my steering is all over the place so we tighten the PS box (which found out we had two bolts instead of 4 so put all 4 in) and tighten the crown nuts but one started to turn with nut. I installed a spacer as well because the cotter pin was above the nut.

None of that is kosher. Incorrect or worn parts, possibly worn out tapers , etc. Steering is not something to have sloppy.

Looks to me, from here, that Rich is correct. You've got some bad Knuckles. Do it right, I think you start over with new ones

The knuckles can probably be saved with weld-in inserts: Goferit Products!

I got to looking at my dash, 16 coats of every color paint and every PO added more holes to it. I sanded it to bare metal and bonded a new piece of galvanized sheet steel to it. I added a full width piece of angle aluminum for extra strength and support for the motorcycle fork leg steering column I build a couple weeks back.
I finished my swing pedals and built a couple bracketes to mount the column with billet split clamps
Drilled the dash for gauges and now everything has to come back out for primer and paint.
I used a new Grant steering wheel with a race car quick release hub to make it easier getting in and out.

Drove to work and then I drove to my friend's new place (3 acres with plenty of woods to make trails) to test out the new axle shafts. He asked me if I could build a plow blade and use the 'b for grading his driveway, cleaning up the access road, and clear some brush for a few bucks. I can't say it'd work well or at all without down pressure on the blade?

I ran out of memory but this is part of the access road. It goes down a hill into the bottom where I started videoing and then back up the hill to the street.

Down pressure is nice but a lot of old loaders were single acting for the lift cylinder and you just need to get the right angle to bite on the blade.

Being south of the snow. I'ld do something like this.

My daughter and I tried riding our zip line yesterday, and when I sat on the seat, the posts snapped. I didn’t use pressure treated lumber and knew it’s days were numbered, but I didn’t expect it so soon.

I was sad, but my wife was happy to be rid of it. :D

According to the internet, which is always true, all you have to do to pull stumps, pilings, whatever... out of the ground is to use a tire and a winch like this:

    The internet lied.

So I broke out the big guns.

I used the hydraulics on the plow jeep. This broke it off, but good enough. All she said was that she wanted the remnants out of sight.

It’s insurance. My parking brake works great, but it’s a long way down if it lets loose!
