What I am wondering is..... I have been missing a gasket on my recently installed 2G carb....??? when it was on and running, I sprayed carb cleaner around the base of it, where it mounts on the intake manifold, to see if I had vacuum leaks.... the engine RPM DID NOT increase... so no leaks there.... But, isn't there supposed to be two gaskets between carb and manifold...????? I think I remember reading here somewhere that there is a thick one and a thin one.....???? I only had on a thin one (in photo).... Help Please.....

Just one, it's on the thick side.

I am just running a single gasket as well...and yes it's sorta thicker than most gaskets...kind of cardboard thick if not more.

PO just had a thin gasket. I’m guessing he had difficulty getting it to seal, as he had also used a bunch of gasket maker. I scraped everything off and installed a single thick gasket. It’s 1/4” thick. Walker G799 is the part number. Works great.

Mine is also on the thick side, and I got the one without the exhaust port holes.
