I found one of these. Frame is meh, but body is salvageable. It still has the hood emblems and chrome brackets. Title also is tux.

No steering or column (IIRC this was 3 on the tree) or seats.

Normally this would be a few hundred at best. What kind of extra value do these tux carry?

In my experience, just whatever the extra bits would bring on eBay. If it’s not a complete survivor, it’s just another CJ.
    YMMV

Agree with that post. Some of us search high and low for the few chrome specialty bits.

Myself, it the windshield hinges. You pick it up and part it. You have a buyer.

Bringing a Tux back isn't cheap. Run it with what is there with the hood badges.
    Good luck,

I agree with what ITLKSEZ said, when I re-done my Tux it was the Tux only things that were the big deal. The chromed factory parts were all peeling and rusty because they were assembly line parts run through a Chrome bath, not good chrome parts to begin with. I wound up using factory parts that were never chromed and having them chromed by a local shop, as far as windshield hinges, tailgate hingers, and hood hinges. I had the license plate taillight cover re- chromed, and a set of trailer taillights chromed until I get my Hall taillights re-done. What I am saying is the Tux you are looking at is worth what you are willing to pay for it, and how much you want it, I guess. I have the Three on the Tree column complete, but chose to use the floor shift instead. Good Luck

    Random tux park question:
If a tux park has the column shift notch and the dash for a factory hardtop is welded without bolt holes would a tux dash without bolt holes be about as hard to find as it gets?

I don't think the dash weld vs. bolts is specific to anything like Tux or hard top. Some were welded, most were bolted. The factory hard top uses plates instead of fold-down latches, but that's not linked to the welded dash AFAIK.

In answer to Jrobz question, a Tux without most of the original unique parts is just another CJ5. Not all Tuxes had a column shift, only the '64 and '65 F134 models. Those will have the cutout above the column for the shifter linkage. Most have been swapped to a cane shifter. I believe the '66 and '67 F134 Tuxes had cane shifters anyway, though the vast majority were V6 powered.
The 8322 title and badges really don't add much, if any value. If it has both chrome bumpers, rear license bracket/light, chome Hall lights, hinges, mirror, etc, as well as the column shift, it should be worth a bit more than a CJ5, to the right buyer.
If you do get this one, I'm still looking for a usable set of original leaf springs for mine.

As for JW60's question regarding a welded dash in a Tux, I've never seen one. I have a pretty original/complete '65 Tux with the original Meyers hardtop, and it has the chrome 1/4-20 bolts fastening the dash. Yes, it still has the column shift!
The only welded dash CJ5s I've seen are from around '60-'62, and not all have hardtops, though they might have at one time.

Donny, what do you consider usable? Arch or lack of rust? May be able to help that search.

I'm still hunting for a set of the 2-stage springs. The fronts are 6 leaf, and rear are 5 leaf, both with a center longitudinal groove. The rears are reproduced as they were used on a regular CJ5 up into the AMC years.
Usable are not rusted beyond use. Arch, I can use anything that shows separation between the 2 stages (upper arched leaves vs. two lower flat "overload" leaves).
    What do you have?

Though that article is brief, as the title states, it is far from complete and a bit misleading. Tuxes also came with a chrome rear bumper, the folding license bracket was painted black, with a small chrome light housing, and the hubcaps were full wheelcovers as opposed to the small dog-dish hubcaps. There are a lot more features not mentioned, and the '64/'65 versions were notably different from the '66/'67 versions (other than the engine size).

Curious what these “full wheel covers” looked like - does anyone have picture? Are these things that I always see on eBay involved?

Original untouched Cutlas Deluxe full turbine hubcaps on my Tux.
The trim rim you posted was used with the dog dish hubcap. They look very nice too, but we’re not correct for the Tux

In my case I feel I got lucky with my tux because it seems to be a survivor with the majority of the original tux except the hub caps and mirror.

I basically paid as much for my tux as they want for those hubcaps.

Do you know what the original tux 15” wheel looks like? I thought I read somewhere there was a dimple in steel between lug nut holes? I can’t tell if mine are original. They have a KH stamp on them, so I know they are Kelsey Hayes.
