    I've thought about using that port for a battery shutoff switch. Or a port for a battery maintainer/charger. Problem is my battery is in the engine compartment so I would need to bring the cables through the firewall.

    I thought it’d be slick to rig up a second alternator for 120V AC and use that port with like a 30A plug.

    not original at all but super cool/useful.

    I mounted a master switch in the firewall on the left side of the steering wheel. The switch is under the dash, out of sight but easy to reach, but is not easily seen.
    There was a hole already there for something, and the cables are all in the engine compartment.
