Hey guys, I am looking for a civilian style rim or smoothie that will fit my CJ5 fitted with 4 wheel discs. Ideally 16x6 with a 3 to 4” backspace. I don’t want to run spacers. Does anyone know of any out there?

Wheel Vintiques smoothies are the only new choice I think.

I have late 70s CJ5 stock white 15" rims on my '57 but I run 1979 disk brakes too, so it all matches.

Stock 6"x 16" rims are very scarce, but they are out there. I can only assume they clear disc brakes, but I haven't comfirmed this. The Wheel Vintiques mentioned above at least are an option to look into.
It all comes down to your individual disc brake setup. Are you using stock CJ parts like a factory D30 setup? Then stock late rims bolt right on like Jrobz's comments above. Geo brakes, Scout brakes, Bronco brakes, factory brackets, aftermarket brackets, etc are all a bit different, and each will have different backspace requirements. There is no universal answer if you've strayed from stock parts.

I can guarantee the renegade 1 wheels do not fit a Dana 30 disk setup without spacers. I had to grind an uncomfortable amount off my calipers even with 1 inch spacers. 16 inch wheels would fit.

Dana 25 / 44 with Kaiser Willys 4 wheel disks. I have been told stock 16” rims don’t fit without spacers due to the shape of the rim. I currently have 15” Sunraisers but want to go a more classic look. AC74C3F9-E408-4D12-833A-45C5B13D570A.jpeg

I might have a set or two. Lemme measure.

Update: I have one set of 5 orig skinny 16s with 6.00-16s on em. Inquire outside this thread if interested.

OP: Lemme know if you need pics or measurements of these. They are on a Jeep not needed for daily use.

Geo disk conversion here stock 16 x5 old school rims had to tune the edge of the slots between rim and center section with a hammer just a touch. No spacers.
