    Howdy,

I have a few questions that I hope you folks might be able to assist with.

    1) Is it possible someone could post a photo of what the Stock latching system on my 72 should look like?

    2) Is the eyebolt that is pictured in my tub stock , or was it added by a PO? I have seen a few photos online that looked similar. To keep the seat in place a bolt goes through a fender washer, the eyebolt then through a hole drilled into the tab attached to the frame.

    3) Are the flat bar “feet“ original to the legs, or were added? Most pics show a rubber crutch tip on the end of the leg.

    Thanks very much!

Evening. Yes the Eye bolt is 100% factory for certain years. Simple, Low cost, effective. The feet should not be flat bar stock. They should be Round and just sit on floor with rubber 'boots'. Post up a pic of those seats. They don't look factory from these pics. Here are a few of my pics. Might see more on my build post that could be helpful.

Note -seat pic is 'upside down' on my bench so orientation is off. That 'hook' on top of latch system hooks into the eye bolt. lever in the back (bottom of pic) is for rear passenger to pull and tilt seat forward. There is a small rod that runs down the underside of seat to the front to allow you to pull the latch from front to tilt the seat forward.

Ahh, I see. That makes sense. My seats were pulled from another vehicle. Sorry I didn’t mention that. I really appreciate the help. Now to figure out a solution. B8C9B86A-2F09-4D46-95B1-2896F555E9D4.jpeg
